Prelude in A major

The seventh of Chopin’s 24 Preludes, Op. 28, published in 1839, is one of the shortest pieces he wrote: sixteen bars in the gentle rhythm of a mazurka. Federico Mompou later built his Variations on a Theme of Chopin on it.
You play the whole melody, one hand, moved down a fifth to D major to fit the 17 keys; the first note of each half is taken an octave higher, and at the climax you play the A-sharp of the big chord instead of its top C-sharp.
